Blanca De La Rosa, born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the projects of the upper west side of Manhattan, is the daughter of Dominican immigrants. Despite cultural and linguistic challenges, she graduated from Pace University with a degree in international business management. She built a successful 34-year career at Mobil Oil and later ExxonMobil Oil Corporation, rising through various domestic and international roles that took her across the US, Europe, Central/South America, and Nigeria.
As a business development manager and president of the company’s Employee Resource Group, De La Rosa represented ExxonMobil at the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Regional and National Scholarship Awards. She also served as a host, keynote speaker, and panelist at numerous events supported by the company’s charity foundation. Her most rewarding role was mentoring younger employees through the corporate maze.
