Award-winning author, J..L Canfield, has recently released her third novel. Hiding Behind Robes is the second work in the Philip Samyn series.

When not busy on her laptop creating places for her readers to escape, you'll find her on the beaches of the Outer Banks. J. L, who was born in Florida, grew up on the beaches of North Carolina. Even though she lives in Virginia, she calls North Carolina home and goes home often.

She wrote her first play in second grade. That started her flexing her creative muscles as much as possible. She has designed clothes, furniture and rooms in homes. Created floral arrangements, headpieces, and curtains. Life to her is an endless journey of finding barren places, then beauty to fill it.

Writing fiction is one way she hopes to leave her mark on the world.
