I write women's fiction, both historical and contemporary, often blending in other genres. My most recent book, The Factory Girl and the Fey, is a historical fantasy set in late 19th-century Scotland.

My characters are strong women who put their independence first, but who also manage to make room for romance! They struggle with the dilemmas many women face, such as finding work/life balance, dealing with a workplace that favors men, and choosing to have children or not.

When I'm not writing, I knit, quilt, and garden. We support various charities that support public education and food security issues. I live in the beautiful Hudson Valley, New York, and have two precious granddaughters.
