When did you start writing?
I started writing in 1984.
What makes writing your passion?
Being able to tell stories that inspire.
How long have you been writing?
40 years
What was the feeling when you published your first book?
Emmense satisfaction.
What’s the story behind your choice of characters?
My latest series is based on true events.
What annoys you the most in pursuing a writing career?
Getting promotions and handling all the marketing.
How do you get over the “writer’s block”?
Take a break and go for a walk in nature.
We all know the writer’s path is never easy, what makes you keep going? What advice would you give to new authors?
Writing about something that is close to your heart.
If you could go back in time and talk to your younger self, what would you say?
Be patient and try to enjoy the process.
Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with the bad ones?
Ues I read them. I have not yet had a bad review.
What is the feeling when you get a good review?
It feels good!!
Have you ever incorporated something that happened to you in real life into your novels?
Yes
Which of your characters you can compare yourself with? Did you base that character on you?
Some are.
What do you think, the book cover is as important as the story?
It is an artistic expression of the story.
Do you connect with your readers? Do you mind having a chat with them or you prefer to express yourself through your writing?
I love to meet them in person.
How do you feel when people appreciate your work or recognize you in public?
It feels good.
Who is your favorite author? Why?
There are many. It is hard to decide which.
What’s the dream? Whom would you like to be as big as?
Myself.
Would you rewrite any of your books? Why?
No.
If you could switch places with any author – who would that be?
What would you say to the “trolls” on the internet? We all know them – people who like to write awful reviews to books they’ve never read or didn’t like that much, just to annoy the author.
They should have more compassion.
What would you say to your readers?
Enjoy reading.

I live in Down East Maine.
What is your day job if you have one?
Handyman.
What are your hobbies? What do you do in your free time?
I like to walk in nature, go sailing, read, and play with friends.
Did you have a happy childhood?
It was mixed.
Is there a particular experience that made you start writing?
Doing research on subjects of interest and having unique experiences.
Do you have unpublished books? What are they about?
Maritime travel and weather.
What do you think should be improved in the education of our children? What do we lack?
Things that stimulate their imagination.
If you were allowed 3 wishes – what would they be?
Increasing awareness, compassion, and wisdom.

New age and the blues
